Eugene "Geno" Valdez, 44, of Fort Collins, left on his journey to eternal life on Dec. 8, 2006, at Poudre Valley Hospital. Born on Oct. 24, 1962, to Fermin and Lily Valdez, Geno enjoyed spending time with his family and had a deep passion for his '86 Corvette. He was a member of the Northern Colorado Corvette Club. He will be forever loved and remembered for his kindness and funny sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his father, Fermin, who passed away Jan. 26, 2002. He is survived by the love of his life, Eve Valdez; his two daughters, Angela Valdez and Amber Valdez; his mother, Lily Valdez; five brothers, Fermin Eddie Valdez, Jr., Embert Valdez, Manuel Valdez, Ernie Valdez and Gabe Valdez; one grandchild, Endikah Hernandez; and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Father Damian de la Cruz, C.R. will officiate at the services. Contributions may be made to the Geno Valdez Memorial Fund, in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
