Genevieve "Beva" Chavez

Genevieve Georgia "Beva" Chavez of Fort Collins, was born on Feb. 22, 1927, to Alfredo and Rita Ulibarri, in Tierra Amarilla, N.M. She married Jose Albino Chavez on Oct. 11, 1954, in La Puente, N.M., moved to Pueblo, and then to Fort Collins. She was a housewife and loving mother. She is survived by four children, Charlotte Trujillo and husband Jerry, of Wellington, Stella Chavez and Donald Valdez of Fort Collins, Rick "Danny" Chavez and wife, Michelle, of Wellington, and John "Jap" Chavez and Michelle Peters, of Fort Collins; brother, Ernesto Ulibarri of New Mexico; sisters, Jean Lopez of Pueblo, Toni Cabrerra of California, Lucy Taffoya of California, and Rosina Martinez of California; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Frankie Chavez; daughter, Rita Chavez; sister, Libby Gifford; and brothers Alfredo and Frank Ulibarri.
