Gearold Michael Ashlock, Jr. "Tuffy" died peacefully at his home on Friday August 14, 2015 in Wellington, CO., age 66.

Tuffy is survived by his wife, Judith Brouhard-Ashlock, of the home; two sons, Michael II, of Oroville, CA, and Shane, of Wellington, CO; four daughters, Carol (Christian)Sakellariou of Susanville, CA, Robyn(Jamie)Egger of Aurora, NE., Earlene (Troy) Bazilewich of Mt. Carol, IL, and Misty Bisby of Fort Collins, CO; 16 grandchildren, Taneya, Tristan, and Andrew Ashlock of Fort Collins, CO., Gregory and Dakota Bazilewich, Shane Jr. and Trinity Ashlock of Mt. Carol, IL., Hannah, Alec and Maddex Egger of Aurora, NE., Makayla and Hollie Sakellariou of Susanville, CA., Jordan, Austin and Jessica Bisby of the home, Kareena (Jacob)Teaney of Oregon, MO; siblings include three sisters, Nancy Ashlock of Phoenix, AZ, Shelby (Merle) Corf of St. Joseph, MO, and Sandra (David) Carter of Wichita, KS, and one brother, Floyd (Ginger) Ashlock of Oregon, MO; and numerous sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Gearold Junior Ashlock "Tuffy" was born in August 30, 1948 in Holt County, MO to Gearold Bruff and Ella Nadine Ashlock (Bloomfield). In addition to his parents, Tuffy was preceded in death by a sister, Arneta J. Howard; two brothers, Kenneth Ashlock and Donald Ashlock; a sister, Bonnie Dean and brother, Charles Ivan in infancy.

Tuffy served with the Army Rangers 1st Battalion/2nd Infantry – 1st Infantry division, B company "The Big Red One" from 1965-1967. In 1967 he was honorably discharged rank Sergeant E-5 when he was wounded in action. Accommodations and medals include the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Vet Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Viet Nam Medal of Commendation and many Unit Citations.

The family will have a celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor can be made to his wife, Judy for later designation in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
