Gary Francis Glass

May 8, 1960 — September 26, 2025

Listen to Obituary
Gary Francis Glass was born on May 8, 1960, to Herman and Charlene Glass in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he continued to live until his passing from a heart attack on September 26, 2025, at the age of 65.

Gary came from a large family. 1 sister and 5 brothers. Can you imagine the amount of mischief that went on growing up with 6 siblings:) Gary was the middle child with one sister Debbie (formally married to Billy) being the oldest and the five brothers Dennis (Vicky), Mark, Vern, Dave (Robyn), and Bryan (formally married to Clancy).

He learned the value of hard work from his father that stayed with him a lifetime. You could not have met a harder worker than Gary. He proved it time and time again during his life. At a young age he worked in the construction/ concrete industry for his Uncle Marvin along with some of his siblings and cousins. He then started working in the painting industry where he quickly became well known and respected for his hard work ethics. At one point he even started his own business, Colorado Custom Painting. When that did not work out, he never gave up and continued to master his trade even adding brick staining until he was injured and became disabled. Even after he became disabled, he would not give up and continued to work hard in everyday life. Even though he was in tremendous pain on a daily basis, you wouldn't know it as he never complained, just kept going when he could.

He loved fishing, even though he never really caught anything (haha) When younger, he shared many stories of hunting with his dad and brothers. They especially loved hunting on Aunt Jo's property, Storm Mountain, Red Feathers and his favorite spot Bull Mountain. He loved that area. He also loved four wheeling & camping and had so many fun times with family and friends. He loved campfires, many camp stories and having a few drinks of Tattoo. When it became time, he hated selling the camper, but it got too much to care for. He so loved spending time with his family. Gary was not much of a talker or an emotional man but if you were able to look past that, he made up for it tenfold in everything he did, never wanting to ask for help or inconvenience anyone and just trying the best he could to take care of his family. Gary's kind soul will be missed by many who knew him. He would always say "Bye..Love you, or Love you-have a good day or good-bye Dear. He always wished everyone well.

Gary is survived by his Most Awesome Wife Annette of 42 years 😊, Sons-Jacob and Joel (Staci) Glass. Daughters- Rachael (Darian), and Crystal Glass. Granddaughters- Catlynn, Jenny Rae, Amani, and Mila. Grandsons- Isaiha, Silas, Dawson, and Tyler, and two great-granddaughters. In addition to many nieces and nephews. All who held a special place in his heart.

Gary was proceeded in death by his Father and Mother Herman and Charlene Glass, Nephew Jared Glass and Niece Tammy Fields.
