Listen to Obituary
In the early evening of August 13, 2024, Fredda "Fritz" Venable passed away while in hospice care.

Fritz had a deep love for music, dogs, horses, books and her family. She was always reading a good book, and sometimes in her words, not so good book, but she wasn't going to give up on it yet. She would smile from ear to ear when she would get to speak of Grammy's girls. Her three granddaughters were the joy that she shared with anyone who would listen. Her love of music started when she was a child. She learned to play the flute and piccolo and played through her high school and college years. She began to play again as an adult in 1990. She joined the North Star Community Band in Kansas City, MO. She continued to share her love of music when she retired to the mountains by playing her flute at the Poudre Chapel. In 2018, she relocated to Casper, WY to be closer to her daughter and granddaughters. She joined Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church where she joined the choir, played her flute from time to time as well as joining the bell choir when she could no longer play her flute. She volunteered with the Wyoming Symphony after Covid as a ticket taker. She would get to stay and listen to the beautiful music after the show began.

Fritz is survived by her son, James H (Sissy) of Kansas City, MO; Daughter Carrie Ashworth (Donald) of Monroe, LA; Granddaughters Ashlee Venable Creighton, MO; Michaela Allen Nashville, TN and Emma Allen, Columbia MO ; Her Ex-Husband, James M (Patricia) of Fort Collins, CO; Cousin Paula Starbuck, Windsor CO and her brother Stephen (Lilly) who resides in the Philippines. She also has several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews across the country.
