Freda Story

Freda Merle Rizor Story, 101, died Feb. 21, 2007, in Laramie, Wyo. She was born March 25, 1906, in Spearfish, S.D. Freda's childhood was spent in Nebraska. Freda married George Story in l926 and the couple moved to Niobrara County in l933. Their six children, Marlene, Georgia, Rex, Willadell, Amy and Steve were raised in Lusk. In the early l960s, Freda and George moved to Fort Collins. Freda returned to Lusk in the early 90s. Her last two years were spent in Laramie. Freda enjoyed reading and crocheting. She had a terrific sense of humor and loved visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Marlene and Ralph Sides of Lusk, Wyo., Georgia Fay of Laramie, Wyo., Willadell Ihrke of Gunnison, Carol Story of Fort Collins, Amy and Stan Brewster of Tucson, Ariz., and Steve and Linda Story of Big Timber, Mont. ADVERTISEMENT Freda is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grand-children and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willam A. Rizor and Minnie Mae Eversull Rizor; and her siblings, Villa, Elva, Vera, Bernice, Charlotte, Elmer and Howard; as well as her husband, George; and her son, Rex. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, in Fort Collins. Interment will be in Fort Collins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
