Frank J Perez Born on September 7th, 1937 in Mexico, the oldest son of Ciprano Perez and Amelia Cavasos died October 27th at his home in Fort Collins, Colorado, with his loving wife Mary Perez by his side. Frank came to America with his parents and his two sisters in 1943, becoming a legal citizen in 1957. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country for 11 years. Upon returning, he married Mary Medellin, daughter of Severo and Senobia Medellin, on November 30th, 1968. He then took over business that he and his mom started Pobre Panchos, where he remained the owner and operator for 51 years.
Besides his wife, Frank leaves behind: His daughters Monica S. Bird, Amelia A. Perez, and Tiffany L. Perez (deceased at birth). Along with five grandsons Matthew Perez, Ron Bird, Chris Bird, Nicholas Perez, Daniel Bird, and two granddaughters Karolyn Bird and Megan Perez. He had one great-grandson Ryker Peterson and two great-granddaughters, Kaylee and Carmen Conner.
Frank was an active member of the Catholic Community at Holy Family Church, serving as a Policy Council member, Fiesta planner, and an usher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and The North College business association.
He was a generous and giving member of the community.
His love for carpentry started when he was young, making things for his sisters, and continued until just weeks before his death.
He is preceded in death by his youngest daughter Tiffany L, his brother Roy, niece Lisa and nephew Tom and his parents Ciprano and Amelia Perez. He leaves behind a loving family.
The Visitation will be held from 12 - 2 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.. A Private Rosary will be held with military honors.
