Francis Gregory Kintzley, 91, of Fort Collins, died Sept. 23, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Kintzley was born May 5, 1915, in Ames, Iowa, to William P. Kintzley and Susan Kelly Kintzley. His family moved in 1926 to Fort Collins from South Dakota. Francis attended St. Joseph School and was a student in the school's first year. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Kintzley married Marie M. Byron on Sept. 30, 1937, in Chicago, Ill. He raised his family and resided in his Fort Collins residence for 62 years. Francis was a commercial electrician, a janitor at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He also worked for the Forest Service and United Airlines. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, camping. In later years he was a world traveler. Mr. Kintzley is survived by his 15 children, Pat Kintzley of San Pablo, Calif., Ray Kintzley of Taiwan, Mark Kintzley of Denver, Artis Rodriguez of Fort Collins, Carol Helbling of Montrose, Sister Therese Marie of Jonesboro, Ark., Tom Kintzley, Philip Kintzley, both of LaPorte, Richard Kintzley, Rose Way, Sheila Kintzley, Dennis Kintzley, Joan DiMatteo, all of Fort Collins, Mike Kintzley of Greeley, and Matt Kintzley of California; 67 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a brother, Leo Kintzley of Fort Collins. The Kintzley family held a reunion in July and more than 200 family members attended. Mr. Kintzley is preceded in death by his wife and a grandson, Franco Kintzley. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Both services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow the Mass at Grandview Cemetery. Father Roger Lascelle will be officiating at the services. Those who desire may view Mr. Kintzley from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
