Frances Irene Thomas, born July 16, 1930 in Eaton, Colorado to Alvin and Gladys Taylor joined her parents, son Kenneth Brown, grandson Philip Snyder and younger brother Thomas Taylor, unexpectedly on Thursday June 27, 2013 from her home in Fort Collins.
Fran was a very outgoing woman who enjoyed talking with people, didn't matter who they were she just loved to talk to everyone! She most enjoyed telling stories of her days as a pilot car driver for over-sized semi truck loads which she did until she reluctantly retired in 2009 after 35 years of service of owning her own company, T&B Escort Service. Before the pilot car business she was a school bus driver in La Porte for many years. She was married to Edgar Brown for 17 years and Ralph Thomas for 35 years.
She is survived by a very large family; her 7 children: Karen Bill Snyder of LaPorte, CO, Gerald Merilyn Brown of Fort Collins, CO, Harold Laurie Brown of Fort Collins, CO, Cheryl Jim Rauber of Wellington, CO, Duane Geraldine Brown of Ault, CO, Diana Tony Mathias of Greeley, CO, and Cindy David Dyer of Wellington, CO, as well as 7 younger brothers and sisters, 23 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren. Along with numerous friends and acquaintances she's met along the way!
A Graveside Service will be held, Wednesday, 11 a.m., Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
