Frances Mareta Eaton was born in Miles City Montana on May 24, 1930. She passed away on June 15, 2017. She was one of 10 children born to Elizabeth "Haskins" and William Kowaluk. William immigrated from Austria. They moved to Alma, CO, Buena Vista, CO and eventually ended up settling in Ft. Collins CO. She attended school in Alma and Buena Vista CO. She married Warren Williams in 1948. Three children came from that marriage, Sharon Lee, Linda Marie and Warren Emmett. They later divorced and she married Gene Eaton. Reta worked at various restaurants in Ft. Collins as cook or waitress. Then she worked at CSU until her retirement. Reta loved to camp, travel, and go to garage sales and thrift stores. She couldn't pass up a bargain. She could always find something to add to her collection. Gene always used to say they had a three story house but Reta had sunk it to a one story with all her collections. Reta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene Eaton, 4 brothers,
3 sisters and her daughter. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Taylor of Douglas, WY, her son Warren Williams of Ft. Lupton CO, her sister Bea Pedersen of Indiana, her sister Karen Vasseur of CO and her sister Gail Hudson of Illinois. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Rita Lynn Freeman, Mickel Swoape, Sean Phillips, Jody Solmonsson and Josh Bentley numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Reta had a big heart. One thing that she always asked was if you had a watch because if you didn't you soon would have. She loved her family, you never doubted that. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
