Frances Brubeck

Frances Spurgeon Majerczyk Brubeck, who resided at Lemay Avenue Health and Rehab, Fort Collins, died at 8 a.m. Feb. 26, 2008, at her place of residence. She was born in Tazewell County, Va., on Dec. 1, 1924, daughter of Robert Lee and Laura Yates Spurgeon. She graduated from McLains Business College in September, 1944. Frances was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Bluefield, Va. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Randall Stanley of Bellvue; a sister, Hattie Louise Spurgeon of Castlewood, Va.; a daughter-in-1aw, Marilyn Majerczyk and two grandchildren, Joseph and Sabrina of Phoenix, Ariz.; four nieces and two nephews. A visitation with the family will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will he held in Bluefleid, Va., at Dudley Memorial Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 415 Peterson St., Fort Collins, CO 80524 or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
