Fern Jewel Kindsfather, 84, of Rist Canyon, left her earthly cabin and went to her heavenly mansion on May 26, 2009. Mrs. Kindsfather was born October 24, 1924 in Dearing, Kansas to Victor M. Graham and Mary M. Martin Graham. Fern married Robert Kindsfather on January 25, 1943 in Ft. Collins. Mrs. Kindsfather lived 75 years in Colorado. She was a homemaker, a member of Poudre Christian Fellowship Church and the Mountain Ladies Bible Study Group. Fern enjoyed feeding her birds, oilpainting, hiking and fishing in the mountains, and especially loved children. She was also proud of her Native American heritage. Survivors include her two sons, Robert P. and wifeRuth Kindsfather of Rist Canyon and Dick and wife Chris Kindsfather of Ft. Collins; two daughters, Sharon and husband Larry Muirhead of Rist Canyon and Judy and husband Charles Rogers of Wellington; four brothers, John Graham of Ft. Collins, Norman "V.J." and Lonny Graham both of Laporte, and Bill Graham of Ft. Collins; three sisters, Jean McChristian of California, Bonnie Casey of Fountain, Colorado, and Helen Smither of Laporte, Colorado; four grandsons, Flint and Seth Kindsfather, and Milo and Tyrel Muirhead; and four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Sky, Cayla, and Carmella. Preceding Fern in death are her parents, husband; a brother, Myron "Junior" Graham; sister, Peggy Nowack; and infant brothers, Kenneth Columbus, Floyd, and Lloyd Graham. A Funeral Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Jim Hudson will officiate at the service. Those who desire may view Mrs. Kindsfather, 12 – 4 pm Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to Poudre Christian Fellowship in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
