Faye "Ellowee" Crutchfield

Faye "Ellowee" Crutchfield, 89, of Laporte, died July 29, 2008, at the Medical Center of the Rockies. Ellowee was born Feb. 15, 1919, in Dover, Ark., to Lem Jordan and Ora Dale Jordan. Ellowee married Fay O. Crutchfield in August of 1935. Ellowee moved from Dover, Ark., to Winslow, Ariz. They resided in RFL where Fay was a sawmill operator for appoximately seven years. The family moved to Laporte where Ellowee was a loving devoted housewife. After her husband passed away in 1993, she lived alone in the old home place until 2006, when she moved to Collinwood Assisted Living. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include her three sons, Ken, John, and Donnie; three daughters-in-law, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-greatgrandchildren. Ellowee is also preceded in death by a daughter and a grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church, 833 S. Taft Hill Rd. A private interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Marc Leverett will officiate the service.
