After suffering debilitating illness for many years, Fay Geraldine Day Fluck, born August 1, 1922 in Coats, Kansas, died October 20, 2009 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Geraldine grew up in Pratt, Kansas, where she spent much of her adult life supporting herself and her parents by working in the hotel and retail industries. After retiring in the late 1970s, she lived for a short time in Mesa, Arizona then moved to Fort Collins in the mid 1980s. She married Stanley Fluck of Fort Collins in 1989. Geraldine's passion in life was her love of God. She was active in the Church of God Anderson, Indiana affiliate. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents Minnie May DeNoon and Walter Wayne Day, her sister Beatrice Ruth Day Wilson, her brother Walter Wayne Day, and her niece Sharonrose Day. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Fluck of Ft. Collins; her niece Edith Wilson Felchle, her nephew David Wilson, three great nieces; Janelle Wilson Troyer, Janna Wilson Firestone, and Linda Felchle Justice; her great nephew Norman Felchle; three great great nieces; Andrea Justice, Kelly Justice, and Emma Troyer, and five great great nephews; David Troyer, Mathew Troyer, Quint Firestone, Ian Firestone, and Max Felchle. Geraldine is also survived by her step-son and his wife, Dan and Karla Flook of Fort Collins, as well as their children, Jim Flook of Gainesville, FL., Kara Flook of Washington D.C., Dana Flook of Fort Collins, and David Flook of Fort Collins and Laramie, WY. The funeral will be held at Peak Community Church Saturday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peak Community Church in Fort Collins.
