Evelyn Aileen Thorpe

Evelyn was born in Vesta, Nebraska in December 19, 1922 to Charles Estes and Matilda Kiel. On January 20, at the age of 20, she married Donald Thorpe, Sr. in Goodland, Kansas. Don's mother went with them from Limon, Colorado because there were underage. Don was a senior in high school and Evelyn worked at the West Side Cafe.

Evelyn was a good wife and mother. She had five children, Donald, Jr., Daniel, Janice, Evonne, and David. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don and her second son, Daniel.

She is survived by her children, Donald L. Thorpe of Crosby, TX, Janice Thornberry of Commerce City, CO, Evonne Barron or Arlington, WA and David Thorpe of Des Moines, IW. Evelyn has 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

She told everyone she felt better in her 90's then in her 80's.

Those who wish may view Evelyn from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery.
