Evelyn S. Klopke

Evelyn Steffen Klopke went home to heaven on October 20, 2014. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 27, 1924, and was the daughter of William and Mildred Steffen. The family moved to La Grange, Illinois, where she attended St. John's Lutheran School and Lyons Township High School. In October of 1943 she married Karl F. W. Klopke and they had two daughters, Beverly Burris Carr, CO and Barbara Kuennecke Hedgesville, WV. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Paul Mona K. W. Adams and Victoria Chad K. R. Sims. She was doubly blessed with two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Derr, and Alexis Sims. She was preceded by her husband, parents, and brother, William Steffen. Cremation has taken place and she will be buried in Illinois. Private family services will be held. The family is extremely grateful and thankful for the loving care that was given to Evelyn during the nine years she lived at Good Samaritan Village, Fort Collins.
