Eula Call

Eula Marie Call, 86, of Fort Collins, passed away Friday, March 17, 2006, at her home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Timberline Church, 2908 S. Timberline Road. Eula was born to Albert J. and Flossie Shull Smith on Nov. 28, 1919, in Sedalia, Mo. She married James Arnold Call on Nov. 6, 1940, in Trenton, Mo. Eula was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel by the Assemblies of God on Nov. 20, 1940. She was ordained by the Assemblies of God on May 2, 1951. Her ministry began in 1938, at age 19, with her pastorate of the Galt, Mo., Assembly of God Church. She and her husband, James A. Call, served in pastoral ministry in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado, including 22 years in Sterling and 10 years in Windsor. Her pastoral, evangelistic and children's ministry extended for more than 65 years to more than 350 churches in the continental United States. Surviving Eula is her husband, James Arnold; her brother, Clyde Smith of Oceanside, Calif.; sons, Darrell Call and wife, Donna, of Greeley, and James Roger Call and wife, Gayle, of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, James Darrenn Call and wife, Willow, of Fort Collins, Jonathan Call and wife, Alyssa, of Colorado Springs, DeaAnna Dragoo and husband, Don, of Denver, Donnell Thomas and husband, Eric, of Greeley, and Melissa Call of Colorado Springs; great-grandchildren, Samantha Thomas and Thatcher Call. Her parents, five brothers and one sister have preceded her in death. Memorial contributions can be made to the Aged Ministers Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
