Esther Stevens

Born Esther Schreiner in Cottier, Wyoming to Henry and Elizabeth (Deines) Schreiner. She was the 9th of 11 children born, a younger brother died in infancy.

The family farmed in Cottier, Torrington, Scottsbluff before settling in Lyman Nebraska.

Esther graduated from Lyman High School in 1942. In 1944, she married her high school sweetheart, Teddy Lewis Kellums, in Van Nuys, California where he was stationed with the US Navy. They were the parents of 4 boys. Teddy, Bernard, Greg and Kent. After the death of her first husband she eventually married Elmer Stevens. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, both husbands and 2 sons, Teddy and Bernard. She is survived by 2 sons Greg Kellums of Colorado Springs, CO. Kent (Tracy) Kellums of Timnath, CO. Daughter in law, Dixie Kellums of Derby, KS. Granddaughter Kelly (Todd) Welch. Grandson Chad (Carmen) Kellums of Conroe, TX. Great grandson Brady Welch and Great granddaughter Brenna Welch of Derby, KS. Ms. Esther is also survived by her dear family friend, Rhonda Baird

A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, Ft. Collins, CO.
