Esther D. Reed, 77, of Westminster, Colorado, formerly of Fort Collins, died June 4, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Reed was born October 25, 1930 in Timnath, Colorado to Fernando Bustos and Sanjura Jennie Escamilla Bustos. She was married to Marlin Reed on September 21, 1952 in Ft. Collins. Mrs Reed lived in the Ft. Collins/Loveland area all her life and moved to Westminster in November of 2007. Esther was an O.R. Tech at Poudre Valley Hospital. She loved gardening, dancing, was a very strong Catholic and was a member of Holy Family, St. Joseph's, and St. John's Catholic Churches. She will be remembered as being very unselfish. Survivors include her two sons, Gary Reed of Pueblo, Colorado and Rob Reed of Ft. Collins; two daughters, Renee Carroll-Jarboe of Westminster, Colorado and Paula Eiben of Broomfield, Colorado; a brother, John Bustos of Ft. Collins; two sisters, Eulalia Pena of Denver, Colorado and Lupita Chavez of California, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and will be missed by a large family, including numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding Esther in death are her husband, Marlin; brothers, Pete, Paul, and Valentine Bustos, and sisters, Carmen Sanchez, Mary Padia, and Lola Pena. A Rosary will be held, Monday, 7:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Father Damien de las Cruz, C.R. will officiate the service.
