Esther Louise Kissell, 88, went to the Lord on Sept. 6, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family. Esther was born in Bougue, Kan., the youngest daughter of seven children, to Frank and Clara Hansen. She married Robert Kissell April 7, 1936, in Portis, Kan. Esther moved to Colorado in 1937 with her husband. They have dairy farmed in Longmont, Loveland, and Fort Collins. In 1965 they bought a dairy farm northwest of Wellington where they still reside. Esther is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Robert; daughter, Adele and son-in-law, Norman Robbs, of Wellington; granddaughters, Kathy Anstead and her husband, Keith, of Weatherford, Okla., Julie Waters and her husband, Danny, of Wellington; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters, two sons, and an infant great-grandson. Esther loved to sing and play the piano, ride horses, garden and travel. She was her husband's right hand helper. She served her Lord at Wellington Community Church playing piano and organ for Sunday services and bible school. She sang many special duets with her daughter. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be Monday, 10:30 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery. Pastor Dan Gardinier will be officiating at the services. Those who desire may view Esther from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County, in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
