Esta Elizabeth Petersen

Esta Elizabeth Petersen 86, of Wellington, CO passed away peacefully on July 19, 2021. She was born and raised in Iowa. Shortly after being married she moved to Colorado with her husband, Howard, where they raised 3 wonderful children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Esta is survived by her loving husband Howard, son Ricci Petersen (Sheila Brewbaker), daughter Judi Kapperman (Dean), daughter Sandi Zitek (Kent), grandchildren: Richard Bailey, Lisa Bailey, Blair Petersen-Silverberg (Shawn), Charity Caryl (Tim), Deana Kamtz (Jacen), Jay Thompson, Camber Zitek, numerous great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Shepperd, sisters Doris Hilmer, Avis Becker and grandson Taylor Petersen.
Everyone loved her smile and charm. She knew how to light up a room even though she was quiet as a mouse. She thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings and always encouraged us to follow our dreams. All the grandchildren and their friends knew her as "Granny".
