Esmeralda Garza Dominguez, 62, a longtime resident of Fort Collins, CO., graduated peacefully from earth to heaven on December 29th, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones.
Esmeralda was born on July 19th, 1955 in San Angelo TX., to Cesar and Ofelia Garza and moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1965. She married the love of her life Alfredo Dominguez on October 3rd, 1970. Esmeralda worked various job though out her life, but later dedicated herself to her family. She enjoyed Garage Selling, attending Bingo on Double Action nights, random but very enjoyable trips to Black Hawk with her sister Nelda, attending family BBQ's, listening to music, enjoying breakfast at Ever Open with her Grandchildren, Angel and Yesenia; but importantly, catching up with family and friends at Walmart, as that was a frequent stop on her daily agenda. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister, and did anything in her power for her grandchildren. Esmeralda was never a stranger to anybody and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her contagious laugh, her amazing personality and caring heart will be greatly missed.
Esmeralda will be remembered by her beloved husband of 47 years, Alfredo Dominguez, two sons; Alfredo (Corina) Dominguez, Jr, & Augustine (Rebekah Holden) Dominguez, both of Fort Collins, two daughters; Jesenia (Gerardo Lamas) Madrid of Fort Collins & Gabrielle Montalvo of Greeley. Her beloved grandchildren, whom she treasured with all her heart: Gabriel Dominguez, Angel Madrid, Yesenia Madrid, Daniel Dominguez, Ruben Montalvo, Jazlene Montalvo, Ayanah Lamas, Augustine Dominguez III, Isaiah Dominguez, Jaylssa Holden, Dominic Dominguez, and Neveah Dominguez. She will also be remembered by her sister Nelda (Juan) Madrid of Fort Collins, various nephews and nieces, and countless friends.
Esmeralda was preceded in death by her parents; Cesar A Garza and Ofelia C Garza, brothers, Cesar, Oscar, Augustine, Raul Garza, & her sister, Sylvia Cantu.
The Rosary, followed by a Christian Mass will be conducted on Friday, January 5th, 2018 at 9:30 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by a reception. Father Enrique Salazar will officiate. A private interment ceremony of her cremated remains will be conducted at a later date.
