Ernest Lee Marine, 74, of Fort Collins went to be with Jesus on January 21, 2012. He was born August 21, 1937 in Lehman, Texas to Arthur and Irene Marin. Ernie married Hope Camarillo on November 29, 1958 in Alliance, Nebraska. They recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Ernie lived in Texas, Nebraska, California, Arizona and Colorado. He was lovingly called Big E, Gramps, and "Fancy Pants" Marin. He served in the Marine Corp. He owned "The Paint Place" body shop in Fort Collins for 26 years. He loved bowling, playing golf, and teaching his kids and grandkids his master skills of everything he knew. He was involved in serving at Holy Family Catholic Church through Knights of Columbus, teaching Bible Classes and volunteering in every way for over 10 years. He was a father to all who needed one. And he shared his faith in Jesus to everyone that would cross his path. Survivors include: his wife, Hope Marine; daughters, Lisa Dittman of Arizona, Jackie Marine, Penny Roberts, and Andrea Marine all of Colorado. 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Gonzales of Nebraska, Jane Soto of Wyoming, Lucy Jenkins of Idaho, Bonnie Meekins of Wyoming, Gloria Helzer of Colorado, Richard Marin of Colorado, Raymond Marin of Colorado, Shirley Therrien of New York, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ernie was greeting in heaven by his daughter, Vivian Marine; his grandson, Robert Marine; his grandbaby twins, Cameron and Cole Roberts; his sister, Angie Shores; his brothers, Eloy Marin and Manuel Marin; his uncle, Ernie Marin; mother and father, Irene and Arthur Marin. Rosary and Funeral Mass will be at Holy Family Catholic Church, 326 N Whitcomb, Fort Collins, CO 80521 on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Christian Burial at Grandview Cemetery with Military Guards and Honor Salute. Memorial contributions can be made to Hope Marine or Access Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524 in Memory of Ernie Marine.
