Ernest Affa

Ernest M. Affa, 63, of Fort Collins, passed away May 3, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. Ernest was born in Allentown, Pa., to Ernest Pete Affa and Catherine Lisowski. Ernest is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bonnie Affa; his brother, Rosario Affa; his son, Dean Affa, daughter-in-law Megan and daughters Madison and Abigail; his daughter, Coriann Batz, son-in-law, Heath and son Kiefer. Coriann and Heath also are awaiting the arrival of another grandchild to Ernest in August. Ernest graduated from Central Catholic High School in Allentown, Pa. He honorably served on active duty in the United States Navy as a Navy Seal and attended Saint Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kan. Ernest worked for the United States Department of Agriculture as a Quality Assurance Specialist and retired in 2005. He will be missed mostly for his passion for life, living and family. Ernest was loved by many and respected by all. Though he was not with us for as long as we would have liked, the time we shared will live forever in our hearts. Until we meet again, Ti Amo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, 5450 S. Lemay Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ernest Affa in c/o Herron Funeral Home, 458 Center Bethlehem, PA 18018.
