Linda Servin, born July 31, 1958, passed away on Sunday April 9, 2017, at the age of 58, due to pulmonary fibrosis.
Linda is preceded in death, by her son, Ruben Lawrence Hernandez, a brother, John Robert Servin, and her parents, Domenica "Lucy" Trujillo Servin, and Joseph Alfred Servin. Linda is survived by her three daughters; Nichole Martinez (Leroy Martinez), Laura Rucobo (Mike Rucobo), and Veronica Hernandez, four grandchildren; Aryana Martinez, Josiah Martinez, Naomi Rucobo, and Samuel Graeb, and her siblings; Kristina Servin, Joseph A. Servin II, Denise Yvonne, Valerie Pisani, Kevin "Butch" Servin, and Roxanne Servin.
Linda was the oldest of 8 children, raised in Greeley, CO, and attended Jefferson
Elementary, John Evans Jr. High, and University High Schools and Aims Community
College. She lived the majority of her life in Colorado except for a short, three months
in California, where Veronica was born, however, she always longed to travel.
Linda had a very flamboyant personality and a great sense of humor. She always knew
all the neighbors around wherever she lived and would strike up a conversation with
anyone. She was creative and crafty and had an eye for interior decorating and knew
where to find a bargain.
As Linda began to struggle with health issues, she drew strength and comfort from her
relationship with God and encouragement from her church family.
Linda loved and adored her grandchildren and had a very special relationship with
each one of them. She was also the one who continued to keep in contact with her
siblings, regardless of where life had taken each of us. Linda has touched each of our
lives in her own unique way that only she could. She will be greatly missed.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, April 14, 2017, at Bohlender Funeral
Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO, 80524.
