Listen to Obituary
Eric Christopher Stevens, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2022 of a massive stroke. He was surrounded by his family and close friends. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Ron Stevens, and his brother, Sean Stevens. He is survived by his daughter Bailey Stevens, mother Kitty Stevens, life partner, Alexandria Keogh, and her child, Jay Keogh, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and longtime friends.
Eric grew up in Greeley, CO, graduated from Greeley Central High School, and attended Front Range Community College. As a youth, Eric spent many summers attending YMCA Camp St. Croix in Wisconsin and on the lake with his grandparents in Minnesota. There he learned of his love for water and as an adult proceeded to spend time on his boat at Horsetooth Reservoir with friends and family. He enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, and working out at the gym. His favorite vacation was at the beach in Hawaii.
Eric was employed in the IT department at UNC for 14 years where he used his leadership and creative problem-solving skills. He grew professionally and touched many lives in many ways. His family joked that his favorite word was "no" from the time he was two and it never changed. He was stubborn and felt he knew best, but valued reliability and commitment above all else. He loved Bailey and his dog, Emma, with his whole heart and finally found his life partner, Alex, with whom to share his love.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to YMCA Camp St. Croix ( www.ymcanorth.org/give ), or to The University of Northern Colorado ( www.give2unc.org ) earmarked for the IT Department, or to a non-profit of your choice.
