Eric Espinosa, 59, of Fort Collins, CO, found his rest on August 29, 2023. He is the beloved husband of Adrienne, devoted father of Zach (Liza), Jessica (Kelby), Jacque, and Steven (Macy), and a dearly loved son, brother, grandfather (Fiona), and friend. He was preceded by his father Delfine Espinosa and mother Ramona Espinosa.
Eric so valued learning. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at Colorado State University in 1999 and went on to build a successful career as a Nuclear Waste Removal Specialist. He cared about keeping the community safe and enjoyed educating his fellow coworkers and teammates. Eric's integrity and work ethic made him well known as a trusted authority in his profession.
In 1990, he met the love of this life, Adrienne, at the Rocky Flats site where they both worked. They married two years later before settling down and starting a family of their own. Together, Eric and Adrienne welcomed three children into the world, Jessica, Jacqueline, and Steven, who became their pride and joy. Over the years, he cherished his family, doing everything from coaching the kid's sports teams, to helping them with homework, to traveling the world, to simply spending an evening visiting at home.
Eric was as kind-hearted as they come. He shared his love freely with friends and family and had a quick, witty sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes. He had a giving heart and was always looking for ways to serve others. The world needs more of the love and strength he exemplified and our lives are all a little brighter for having known him.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church at 300 W Mountain Ave, Fort Collins, CO. The rosary and service will be held at 1:30p and 2:00p, respectively. Reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brent's Place in Eric's memory. This amazing organization is based in Aurora and provides long-term housing for families battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Brent's Place provided a safe place for Eric's family to stay while he underwent treatment at UCHealth Anschutz Medical Hospital. The family is extremely grateful and would love to help this non-profit support other families in need.
