Elsie May Underhill

Elsie May Underhill, 99, of Fort Collins went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the home of her caregivers, Rev. Ron & Venita Christian. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 3920 S. Shields St. Pastor Forest Saylor will officiate. Elsie May Kipp was born November 9, 1910, in Trenton, Nebraska to Barry and Nina Kipp. She married Raymond J. Underhill on May 10, 1934, in Trenton, Nebraska. The couple moved to Salida, Colorado in 1937 and then to the Denver area. Elsie was a homemaker and while living in Denver was active in the Littleton Church of God. In 1974 they moved to Fort Collins to be closer to family and went to Peak Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; and parents, Barry and Nina Kipp. She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Underhill of Fort Collins; a son, Bob Underhill Charlene of Fort Collins; two grandchildren, Jason Underhill Michelle of Fort Collins, Cherilyn Ashley Perry of Longmont; four great grandchildren, Jana and Toby Underhill, Daneille and Gabe Ashley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritans Purse or World Vision in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 West Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
