Elsie Streeb, 81, of Windsor died December 11, 2009 at a local nursing home. Mrs. Streeb was born May 4, 1928 in Darmstadt, Germany to Willie and Johanna Christ.
Elsie married Otto Streeb on January 4, 1949 in Denver, Colorado. Otto passed away in 1976. Mrs Streeb lived 60 years in Windsor. She was the owner of the Peggy Lee Dress Shop in Windsor and also was a seamstress. Because she enjoyed reading so much she loved her job at the Windsor Public Library where she worked for 7 years. She enjoyed spending time playing Scrabble as well. She was a long time member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Survivors include her sister, Gisela Heinz Schueler of Fort Collins; nieces, Barbara Keyser and Susan Jones; and nephew, Russell Schueler all of Fort Collins. Preceding Elsie in death are her husband, Otto; and her parents, Willie and Johanna Christ. A Graveside Service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Dean Smith will officiate the service.
