Elsie Schneider

Elsie L. Schneider 81, of Fort Collins, died Aug. 10, 2008, at Medical Center of the Rockies. Mrs. Schneider was born Dec. 17, 1926, in Fort Collins, to Alex Witman and Marie Trupp Witman. Elsie lived all her life in the Fort Collins, Wellington area. She married LeRoy J. Schneider on Nov. 5, 1944 in Fort Collins. Elsie was a homemaker who helped her husband LeRoy on the family farm. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Elsie especially loved helping and being with her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her two sons, Glenn and Gary Schneider both of Fort Collins; a brother, Lynn Witman and his wife, Connie of Fort Collins; three sisters, Emma Ulrich and her husband Rueben of Fort Collins, Betty Stromberger of Fort Collins, and Nadine Blehm and her husband Hubert of Denver; a brother-in-law, Karl Erbes of Windsor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Elsie in death are her parents; husband; two brothers; Larry Witman and Wilbert Witman and his wife, Barbara; a sister, Helen Erbes; and a brother-in-law, Elmer Stromberger. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Stuart. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Rev. Jim Rasmussen will officiate at the services.
