Elsie I. Boxberger, 79, of Fort Collins died July 14, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Boxberger was born August 19, 1931 in Windsor, Colorado to Gottfred and Lydia ?Fritzler? Kraft. Elsie married John I. Boxberger on December 18, 1949 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Collins. Mrs. Boxberger lived in the Fort Collins/Windsor area most of her life. She was a member of Timberline Church. She enjoyed quilting, baking and preparing meals for the family, and playing hymns on the piano for the elderly. She was always close to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, John; son, Richard Boxberger of Fort Collins; daughter, Beverly Allan Meyer of Fort Collins; brother, Albert Lucille Kraft of Fort Collins; sister, Leona Schick of Windsor; four grandsons, Robert Jen of Fort Collins; Ron Shannon Meyer of Freeland, Michigan, Brent Meyer of Wellington; Brad Meyer of Fort Collins; and two step grandsons, Ryan and Nathan Meyer; five great grandchildren, Ryan JR and Michael Boxberger of Fort Collins; Ashlyn and Brianna Meyer of Freeland, Michigan, Brock Meyer of Wellington; and three step-great-grandchildren Jessica, Claire and Orion Ward of Fort Collins. A Funeral Service will be held at Timberline Church, South Auditorium, 2908 S. Timberline Rd. on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Those who desire may view Mrs. Boxberger on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
