September 26, 1938 — February 4, 2016

Listen to Obituary
On Thursday, February 4, 2016, Eloise Lee left this earth to be reunited with the love of her life Carl Lee, who preceded her in death by 11 months and 1 day. Eloise Williams was born in Council Grove, Kansas on September 26, 1938 to Cassie and Orval Williams. Mom was the 11th of 12 children. The Williams family moved to LaPorte in 1943 and she graduated from LaPorte High School in 1956.

The journey of a lifetime together began on September 8, 1958 when mom married dad in Loveland CO. Fifty-six years later dad passed away in March 2015. Mom was an incredibly loving, strong, determined, organized and respected woman who loved her family dearly. She worked so hard to create an inviting home for our family. Friends and even strangers were always welcomed with a smile and a cup of coffee. Mom loved baking homemade bread, cooking wonderful meals and keeping a spotless home. She also enjoyed doing calligraphy, painting glassware and puttering in her flowerbeds. In the years they spent at the ranch in Stove Prairie, mom loved riding Sadie (her beloved 4-wheeler) and fishing with dad for their supper. She made 100's of wreaths at Christmas to sell and to give to family and friends. In 1974, she started working at the State Farm claims office and retired after a career of over 20 years. She made many close friends and those friendships remain.

After she retired, Mom and Dad enjoyed many road trips near and far. Although mom never ate breakfast at home, when they were traveling, she always wanted to know within the first couple of miles where they would stop to eat breakfast. We were always impressed how she could remember the birthday of every person in our family. In recent years, 4 o'clock every afternoon was known as "happy hour", and mom always looked forward to her glass of wine and whoever stopped by to enjoy a glass with her.

Mom was preceded in death by our dad, her parents and 9 brothers and sisters. Daughters Lorri (Pat) McGregor, Debbi (Denny) Hodgson and Cindi Lee, all of this area, survive her. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Cody McGregor, Amanda Davis, Tyler, Chad, Austin & Tate Hodgson, and Cassie & Claire Pfeifer and 11 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Alberta Lee and Beth Seaworth of Fort Collins, and friends too numerous to mention.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to COPDfoundation.org, or Halcyon Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W Olive St., Ft Collins CO 80524 followed by a celebration of our mom's life at the American Legion 2124 CR 54G Ft. Collins.
