Listen to Obituary
On January 7, 2013 our beautiful mom, Eloida Feltch, left this earth to join the choir in heaven. Eloida was born November 20, 1921 in Redwing, Colorado to Juan Ysidro Martinez and Rosenda Salazar. After completing her high school education, Eloida went to California, where she has a wonderful adventure. She worked for Nabisco during the day and sang with a big band in the evenings at "Sweets Ballroom" in Oakland. She then went to stay with her brother, Ben in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she met the love of her life, Levere G. Feltch. After a quick courtship they were married on May 20, 1944. After Levere was honorably discharged from the Army, they settled in Fort Collins. Eloida was a member of the Homemaker's Extension Club and for many years Holy Family Catholic Church. She had a great love for her children and grandchildren. Her love of music never left her even when Alzheimer's took control. Eloida is survived by two sons, Cecil of Fort Collins, Marvin Linda of Greeley, one daughter, Lucille Steve Wagner of Laramie, Wyoming; seven grandchildren, Rhianon Feltch, Raeleen Feltch, Esther Atencio, Jason Wagner, Daniel Wagner, Mary Wagner and Kirk Watkins; and sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Julia Manchego of Fort Collins and Aurora Dick of Spivey, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, one daughter, her parents, six sisters and one brother. The family would like to thank Elderhaus for kindness and patience in caring for her and a huge "thank you" to the angels at Spring Creek Care Center for the 10 plus years of love and care. Also, "thank you" to the angels at Hacienda Hospice at the end of her life. Also a special "thank you" to her sister, Julia and family for the love and support they have continued to give. Memorial contributions can be made to the Eloida Feltch memorial Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524. A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
