Ellen Lucille Williams, age 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 11, 2011. She was married to Harley Albert Williams for 76 years before he passed away last year. They were married in Goodland, Kansas on September 22, 1934. Ellen was born June 13, 1916 in Collins, Missouri, daughter of Claude and Gertie Culbertson. She had 4 sisters and 1 brother who preceded her in death: Marie Abney of Colorado, Viola Higlin of Oklahoma, Geneva Lomenick of Texas, Roy Culbertson of California, and Martha Brown of Washington. Ellen and Harley had two deceased children: Samuel Leroy died at 1 month 20 days from an infection, and Mildred Ruth died at birth. Ellen is survived by two children: Dale E. Williams Jan of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Mavis Ivene of Austin, Texas. There are four grandchildren: Tammra Ed Graves of San Diego, CA, Stephen Carmen Williams of San Antonio, Texas, Valerie Dave Hoke of Austin, Ttexas, and Jennie Lance Booth of Albany, Ohio. She is also survived by six great grandchildren: Melissa Brian Liehr, Janelle Williams, Megan Hoke, Taylor Graves, Brianne Booth, and Lauren Booth. Ellen has two great, great grandchildren: Lily Liehr and Kolton Liehr. Ellen was a homemaker all her life. She was very active in First Baptist Church now known as LifePointe Church. She served as church treasurer, Sunday School teacher, deaconess, and Bible study teacher for many years. Harley and Ellen were original members of the TWC Sunday School class, which was formed in 1949 and still continues today. Her gift of hospitality touched many lives, and she will be remembered for her unconditional love toward everyone she met. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Bohlender Funeral Home, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80524 at 1:30 pm. She will be buried beside her husband at Resthaven Memory Gardens, US Highway 287. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given for the Missions Program of LifePointe Church in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
