Ellen Roberson

Ellen Chloe Roberson, 67, of Fort Collins, died May 13, 2009 at McKee Medical Center, Pathway Hospice Unit in Loveland, CO, after a two year courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Roberson was born June 14, 1941 in Liberal, Kansas to John and Audrey McNutt. She graduated from Scott City High School in 1959 and attended 2 years of college at Barclay College in Haviland, Kansas. Ellen married Gary W. Roberson on Valentines Day, 1960 in Scott City, Kansas. Ellen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing in the great beaver ponds and mountains of Gunnison, Colorado, doing aerobics with her many friends, traveling to sunny beaches, working in her beautiful yard, going to garage sales, and shopping. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gary Wayne Roberson of Fort Collins; mother Audrey McNutt of Scott City, Kansas; sons Duane Deb Roberson of Wellington, Colorado, Dave Roberson of Loveland, Colorado, Daren Ronna Roberson of Fort Collins, Colorado, daughter, Debbie John Luciano of Wray, Colorado; 8 grandchildren, Carlyn Joe Duran, Brittany Roberson, Cortnee Roberson, Conor Roberson, Carol Luciano, Colby Luciano, Chazz Luciano and Colton Luciano. Preceding Ellen in moving to heaven are her father John McNutt and sister Carol McNutt. A funeral service will be held at Timberline Church, 2908 Timberline Rd., on Monday, May 18th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Those who desire may view Mrs. Roberson from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, May 17th at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, can be made to The Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO 80524. Contributions will go towards building the new Cancer Center of the Rockies.
