Elizabeth "Betty" Winberg, 93, of Fort Collins, died April 27, 2018 at a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Winberg was born March 5, 1925 in Schenectady, New York to Mitchell and Elizabeth Gay.
Betty graduated from Draper High School and the Syracuse University. She married Robert "Bob" Winberg on February 2, 1946 in Syracuse, New York
Betty lived in Fort Collins for 34 years. Before moving to Fort Collins, she was a school teacher at Marcy Elementary in San Diego, CA. She belonged to many clubs and organizations, Scottish Society, Pioneers Society, FOCO Historical Society, book, investment, New Comers, Square Dancing and Questers Preservation Clubs. Betty also loved genealogy, travel, her collections and opera.
Survivors include her Nephews, Glen, Joseph and Edwin Gay; sister in law, Alice Gary and several grandnieces and nephew.
Preceding Betty in death are her husband, Robert Winberg; son, Douglas Winberg and brother, Mitchell Gay.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
