August 6, 1980 - May 18, 2019

Elizabeth Harriet Hutchings was born in Longmont, Colorado. She was the youngest child of Lynn Snarr Hutchings and Marica Dee Cook (Hutchings). She was an adorable, spunky, fun and mischievous, child that enriched the family. Her middle name, Harriet, came from her Father's mother Harriet Snarr (Hutchings) and her third great grandmother Harriet Brough (Snarr). Like her namesakes, Elizabeth was a happy, engaging, energetic person, that loved and cared for others, and bravely persevered many of life's storms.

She attended Longmont Estates Elementary School, Westview Middle School and Longmont High School in Longmont, Colorado. She also attended Garland High School in Garland, Texas, Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah and Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah. During this time Elizabeth made many lifelong friends.

On January 1997 Elizabeth, gave birth to a son. She lovingly and bravely placed him for adoption so that he could find a family equipped to provide him the wonderful life that she felt he deserved. Elizabeth cherished letters that she received about him and was delighted when she was able to meet and get to know Clayton Mack Hansen as an adult.

In August 1999, after a short courtship, Micah Leavitt took Elizabeth for a walk on Twin Peaks Golf Course, located behind her family home. When they stopped to rest on a bench overlooking a pond that reflected the beautiful Colorado Mountains, he proposed, beginning a promising new chapter in Elizabeth's life. In November 1999, the couple was married in the Denver, Colorado Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They settled in Warden, Washington, near Micah's family where Elizabeth provided care for Alda Leavitt, Micah's grandmother. They later moved to nearby Moses Lake, Washington, where the couple welcomed a daughter Nicole Elizabeth Leavitt, to their family in Feb 2001.

In September 2001, the family moved to Longmont, to be near Elizabeth's family while Micah attended the University of Colorado. This was a fun time. Elizabeth's world revolved around being a young wife and mother. She adored Nicole, her perfect, beautiful intelligent girl. She always tried to give Nicole the very best of everything. Nicole and Joyleen, Elizabeth's niece (Jenny's daughter) were about the same age and Elizabeth loved watching them grow and play together. She also enjoyed being near her sister Cory and brother-in-law Josh Fine.

In 2003, Elizabeth, Micah and Nicole moved back to Washington to be near Micah's family, and worked together to start Blue Heron Turf, a sod farm. In December 2005 Sidney Ariana Leavitt was born, completing their family with her funny, sweet, precocious personality, sparkling blue eyes and long eyelashes. Elizabeth relished Sidney's personality and antics. During this time she loved taking her kids to dance and creating a fun home environment where their friends were always welcome.

In 2014, Elizabeth moved back to Colorado with Nicole and Sidney. They lived with Elizabeth's mom, Marica, while Micah was running Clark and Sons a business that the couple had acquired in Idaho. A few years later, Micah and Elizabeth divorced and in 2018, Elizabeth moved out, dated, traveled and explored life in a number of different areas. On May 18, 2019 in Rock Springs, Sweetwater County, her life here on earth came to an end, and she found peace.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Mack Hansen, Nicole Leavitt, and Sidney Leavitt. She is also survived by her sisters, Cory Hutchings (Fine), Jenny Hutchings (Fifita Murray), and her half siblings, Nate Hutchings, Konei Hutchings (Goodro) and Matt Hutchings, by her mother, Marica Cook (Hutchings Linford), as well as her step-father, John Linford and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Lynn Snarr Hutchings.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 200 2nd Ave., Lyons. Interment will follow at Lyons Cemetery, 432 5th Avenue.
