Eileen Marie Hazen

Eileen Marie Hazen, age 91, left her earthly body behind on May 26, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Rev. James Hazen; a younger sister, Delores Sheldon; 4 of her five children, Sheryl Fisher and her husband Dale, Judith Nagel, Sandra Pavelchak and her husband Mark, Thomas Hazen and his wife Mary Lou Dixon; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Eileen spent her life as a loving wife and mother. She worked for 20 years as the secretary for the school principal in 3 different communities. Eileen devoted many hours to church activities. She was very active in Women's Fellowship and coordinated numerous craft and bake sales. Eileen had a beautiful singing voice and sang in church choirs into her 80's. She loved music, birds, and flowers. Eileen and Jim served in 12 churches spanning 50 years, and in each location Eileen created and tended a spectacular flower garden.
Eileen was a talented seamstress and made clothes for her children, made doll clothes for her grandchildren and created many craft projects for numerous family members and friends.
Eileen was a devoted football and basketball fan in whatever area she lived. Go Lakers! Go Broncos!
Eileen was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
