Eileen Boxberger

Eileen L. Boxberger passed away Oct. 5, 2006 after a short hospital stay. Eileen is a true native of Fort Collins. She was born on Jan. 24, 1931, in Fort Collins to John G. and Esther Yost Yeager. She graduated from Fort Collins High School in June 1949 and spent 26 years working at Colorado State University. In July 1949, she married the love of her life Harold Boxberger. Harold and Eileen raised six children and farmed until HaroldGÇÖs death in 1987. She was an expert at making homemade egg noodles. She enjoyed baking cookies for her family, especially at Christmas time. A big bag of cookies is something her grandchildren always looked forward to. She was extremely proud of her 11 grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than being around family. She especially loved holidays and special events where the entire family would come together. Eileen was a kind and caring woman who will be greatly missed by her family. Eileen is survived by her children, Pam Fisher Gil of Fort Collins, Gary Boxberger of Pierce, Harvey Boxberger of Saratoga, Wyo., Patti Barker Paul of Fort Collins, Judy Schnug Stan of Cheyenne, Wyo., and GÇ£adoptedGÇ¥ son Keith Corneliuson of Bellaire, Calif. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren one girl and 10 boys; three great grandchildren all girls and four great grandchildren on the way; her sister, Margaret Cogburn Roger of Wellington. Her husband, Harold, son, Daniel, and her brother, John, preceded her in death. Cremation has been completed. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AlzheimerGÇÖs Association in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
