Born in La Paz, Bolivia, on May 4, 1946, Egmond had a long and remarkable life. He is survived by his beautiful wife Jacqueline Delgado Franck and his four exceptional children: Diana, Pablo, Erich, and Andres. Egmond was a talented and studious individual—an electrical engineer by trade—who loved to tinker with model trains, craft wooden cabinets by hand, collect stamps, shoot photography with antique cameras, and watch cooking channels on YouTube. Egmond was a veteran who served honorably in the Air Force from March 1970 until March 1974. During his time in the Air Force, he was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany, during the Vietnam conflict. Egmond served as a ground radio repairman, ensuring critical radio retransmission sites remained operational throughout Europe. He was an incredible father who helped his children learn to read music, coached them in sports, and helped with their calculus homework. His stoicism was his predominant character trait, but he loved his children and adored his wife. He will be remembered as a talented and loving man who gave tirelessly to provide for his family.
