Edwin R. Moore was born September 14, 1927 to Orlo Harry Moore and Elva Gertrude Moore at his grandparent's farm at Palmyra, Kent County, Ontario, Canada. He was married twice to Dorothy Stanley Moore whom he divorced and second to Stella Juanita Bishop Danbury. Both spouses preceded him in death. He worked for Black and Veatch in Kansas City, Missouri and M & I in Ft. Collins, Colorado. He was active in Boy Scouts and was recognized with the Silver Beaver Award. After retiring he took up wood carving. After the death of Juanita he increased his traveling time using a toy hauler which he equipped with a wood working shop. He attended wood carving classes and shows across the country winning many awards and sharpening tools for many fellow carvers for no fee. He gave away all of his carvings, as they were labors of love. He died at home on February 14, 2014, at age 86, of cancer. He is survived by 6 children: Joyce and husband, Harold Roy Hodges, Stanley and wife, Karen Moore, Allen R. Moore, Glen S. Moore, Sandra J. Moore, Pam and husband, Marvin Weinstein, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Private Family Service will be held.
