Ed Chose to leave this world with dignity & clarity of mind on April 26th, 2025.
He was with his family at his home at the time of his death. He lived his life full of laughter, love and no regrets. Ed was a friend to all that knew him. He was born May 17, 1938 in Fort Collins and was the 1st son of Martin and Louise Aragon.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1958 and served aboard the destroyer A5 Isbell 869 in the Pacific. He served his country for two years returning to the Navy Reserve in Cheyenne Wyoming.
He met his Bride to be Janice Elaine White at the local A&W in 1958 and was Wed on October 15, 1960. The two worked side by side for 42 years eventually starting Western Engine and Transmission in 1991. He retired from the family owned business in 2002. Ed took pride working in the automotive industry his whole life.
Ed is survived by his brother, 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and loving pup Lucky. Brother: Dave Aragon and wife Marlene. Daughters, Sandy Aragon, Wendy Jenkins and Husband Brian. Grandchildren: Rudy Montoya and wife Wendy Wight, Matt Montoya and wife Rebeccalyn Gonzales, Danielle Montoya, Miranda Vielmas, Bella Aragon, Mark Blanton and Nick Blanton. Great Grandchildren: Adrean, Alexis, Alanna, Aliyah, Austin and Dominic Montoya. Ed is preceded in death by his mom, dad, infant son Scott Aragon and is "Together Again" with the love of his life, Jan.
There will be a public graveside ceremony with military honors held on May 6, 2025 12:30pm at the Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins. There will also be a public celebration of life at the American Legion in LaPorte following. In memory of Ed please shine up those classics, street rods, hot rods, etc. and send him off with one last cruise from Grandview Cemetery to his celebration of life.
