Edna Ernestine Lybarger, 84, loving wife, mother, and friend passed into eternal glory on the morning of November 2, 2013, the Solemnity of All Souls, at her home surrounded by her family. Edna was born in Fort Collins on March 27, 1929 to Manual and Lily Pino Cordova. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Collins and graduate of Fort Collins High School. Edna married Warren Gale Lybarger on August 15, 1952 and celebrated sixty-one years of mutual love.
Edna worked for a number of local businesses during her career, which included J M McDonalds, where she and Warren met. She also worked for Fishback Camera Shops before retiring from Colorado State University. She enjoyed dancing, time with family and friends, and activities at Saint Joseph Catholic Church where she was a lifelong parishioner. Edna had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Rosary. Edna is survived by her loving husband, Warren; her devoted children, Warren E. Mary Lou, Stephen, Timothy, and Suzanne Doug; her brother, Joe; and sisters, Evon and Gloria along with nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and other family and friends. Edna was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Saint Joseph Catholic Church and Pathways Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524. The family of Edna thanks Dr. Abby and his staff, and Pathways Hospice for their kind assistance. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Father Steven Voss will officiate. Visitation followed by the Rosary will begin at 6:00 during the evening of Thursday, November 7 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow the funeral at Grandview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
