Edith L. Kruse passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023.
She was born in Garden City, KS to Helen and Lester Stanton. She grew up on the family farm near Manter, KS.
She attended Colorado State University and was a guard on the women's basketball team. It was on the CSU campus that she met her future husband, Gordon. They were married in 1957 in the CSU campus chapel and enjoyed 62 wonderful years together.
Edith and Gordon were active members of the Timnath Presbyterian Church. They also enjoyed gardening and watching CSU basketball and football, as well as the Broncos, Rockies, and Nuggets.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, and her son, Larry. She is survived by her daughter, Karen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her sense of humor and her generous spirit will be greatly missed. She often said that the best thing she ever did was grow up on a farm!
No services will be held. Her cremains will be placed in the columbarium at Timnath Presbyterian Church.
