Earl A. Eychner was born November 18, 1940 in Fort Collins, Colorado, the first son of Delbert Lee Eychner and Lucy Lee Mahan Eychner Bolley. He departed this life on April 5, 2017, at the age of 76.
Earl attended school in Fort Collins, Livermore, and LaPorte, Colorado. Earl joined the Army in 1958 and was stationed in Germany during his time of service. Upon returning to Fort Collins , he worked for a surveying company until his retirement. He met the love of his life, Lydee Dimick and his life was changed when she passed away in 1997.
Earl had a dry sense of Humor that kept his family and friends chuckling. During his final three months of life he became a favorite at the rehab center as he entertained the staff with his oneliners.
He was preceded in death by Lydee, his parents, and setpfather, George Bolley; his sister, Nancy L. Geiger, and brother-in-law, Marion Geiger, his uncles, Elwyn Northey and Orin and Julia Eychner; cousins, Joy Steigleder, Robert, and Donna Eychner.
Earl will be missed by his younger brother, Ed Eychner, and wife Rhys of Gordo, Alabama; sister, Jean Anderson and husband, Larry of Haxtun, Colorado; also his aunts, Edith Northey and Florence and Howard Orr of Fort Collins. He is also survived by nieces Kristy (Chet) Nance, Karie (Larry Wilson, Kathie (Stan) Lindstadt, Laurie (Tim) Fetzer, and their families. Nephews, Jerry (Darla) Geiger, Gary (Laura) Geiger, John (Renae) Anderson, Troy (Jeri) Anderson and families, also his cousins, Terry Orr, Andrea Yarger, Becky Craig, Nita Duke, Larry Northey, Dan Eychner, and Glenn Eychner, and by his neighbors and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
