He is preceded in death by his father Pat. Doug had a life-changing experience when he moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1975. He was radically saved and delivered by his encounter with Jesus Christ. He lived his entire life after December 15, 1975 as a changed man. He never forgot where God brought him from, and shared his exuberance and love for life with everyone he met. Doug was passionate about people. He loved to laugh with friends and family, loved being in and around water, hiking with his wife, traveling, fishing and camping, spending time with the Band of Brothers and many friends, motorcycle riding and getting to know his Lord. He was an active member of Timberline Church. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26th, at Timberline Church, 2908 So. Timberline Rd., in the South auditorium.
