Dorris Clark was born on June 16, 1932 in Pulaski County, Missouri and passed away at the age of 88 on September 28, 2020 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Dorris was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Roberta Clark, and his brother Durand Clark.
He is survived by his three sisters - Nathalee Froeschle, Betty Jo O'Quinn, and Mary Bob Gilbert; his wife - Sue (Sessions) Clark of 30 years; five children - Cheryl (Clark) Blatchley, Carol (Clark) Pacheco, David Clark, Greg Clark, Forrest Sessions; nine grandchildren – Amanda Blatchley, Nate Blatchley, Cameron Pacheco, Christa (Pacheco) Wondor, Alexia Clark, Matthew Clark, Cameron Sessions, Caroline (Sessions) Murphy, Natalie-Claire (Sessions) Rikard; three great-children - Oliver Pacheco, Eliza Kate Rikard, Fletcher Sessions, and three more great-grandchildren on the way.
Dorris served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS in Agriculture. After moving to Colorado, he worked as a botanist and later became the Acting Director of the National Seed Storage Laboratory in Fort Collins from 1959-1988.
Dorris was actively involved and served faithfully at City Park Church (formerly known as Immanuel Baptist Church) in Fort Collins for 62 years.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, being involved with Sue for many years at the local Farmer's Market selling roasted chilies and other home-grown vegetables. He also made jewelry for local craft fairs that he and Sue were involved in throughout the year. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and loving the Lord with all of his heart.
