Dorothy Kay (Billis) Sigel our beloved and beautiful Mom passed away on July 26. Dorothy was born July 20, 1942 at Mt Clemens, Michigan. Her parents were Catherine and Alfred Billis. She and Art met as students at Michigan Tech University at Houghton, Michigan in 1962 and were married on June 19, 1965. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June this year.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Art, her two sons Edward and Matthew, her five grandchildren Moxie, Gus, AJ, Lucy and Jude as well as her daughter in law Harmony Hendricks, her sister Beverly Schlick of Roseburg OR and her God daughter Kris Darrow of Ironwood MI.

Dorothy graduated from Lanse Cruise high school in Mt Clemens and the University of Akron with a BA in Education. She taught earth science and math to middle and high school students for many years. Dorothy served on many Boards over the years as a dedicated and hardworking member. Most recently she has been president of the Nici Self Museum in Centennial WY. During their marriage Art and Dorothy lived at Akron and Lancaster Ohio, St Louis Michigan, El Dorado Arkansas, and Barrington Illinois. Since 2005 they have resided in the Centennial Valley of Wyoming on the Hecht Creek Ranch.

For many years Dorothy ran the family while Art pursued his career. Dorothy was a Partner, Confidant, Coach, Lover and Mom. Dorothy was the Rock the family was built upon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at her home on Saturday August 2 at 3pm. All who knew her are invited.
