Dorothy Bastar

Dorothy Bastar, 85, of Fort Collins died Aug. 16, 2008. Dorothy was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Missouri and grew up in Denver. As a young woman, Dorothy attended St Anthony's School of Nursing and embarked on a career that spanned nearly 50 years. Dorothy worked as a nurse in hospitals all over the U.S. and gathered friends everywhere she went. Dorothy retired to Fort Collins in 1992, where she was very active in the community. Dorothy's greatest Joy, however, was her family. She loved to attend family gatherings and never missed a birthday or special occasion. Her parents and three sisters precede Dorothy in death. She is survived by four sisters and many, many nieces and nephews, all of whom miss her very much. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 28th at The Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary.
