Doris Maxine Lawrence Sutton — May 26, 1924 to September 2, 2009. Born in Groom, Texas, she moved with her family to Sharon Springs, Kansas. She graduated from Sharon Springs High School, attended business school and obtained an emergency teaching certificate. She met and married William Robert Sutton, February 28, 1943 after a brief courtship of 3 weeks. The couple moved from Kansas to Castle Rock and to their final home — Fort Collins in 1950. The union was happy and fruitful, producing 7 children. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 6 and loved serving Him. She attended Calvary Baptist Temple until failing health restricted her activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, Alfred Harold, 1 grandson, Danny Eugene, 1 great-grandson Levi, numerous other family and friends. She is survived by Robert Guy of Fort Collins, his 4 children and 6 grandchildren, William James also of Fort Collins, his wife, Judy, 4 children and 10 grandchildren, Larry Dean Sutton, his 4 children and 8 grandchildren, Wife of Alfred Harold, Elaine of Yuma and three children, Doris Blanch Robinson of Arlington, Texas, her husband Donald and 2 children, Ronald Eugene of Cheyenne, Wyoming, his wife Vicky, 4 children and 5 grandchildren and Donald Lee of Denver, Colorado and his wife Darlinda, assorted family and numerous friends. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimer's Therapeutic Activities Department of Spring Creek Nursing Home in care of Barbara or Jen. Visitation will take place on Monday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist Temple, 2710 LaPorte Ave at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Pastor Park Sutton officiating. There will also be a visitation at the church at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday.
